A declamation contest was held at Suparco Hqs on Wednesday. Students from various private and public schools presented their arguments on the World Space Week 2010 theme "Mysteries of Cosmos". They discussed their quest to understand the Universe. They also suggested that the space technology information should be incorporated in educational curriculum of Pakistani schools.
Speeches delivered by students reflected their sound knowledge related to space technologies and their applications, which were made possible with the dissemination of Space Information Booklet by Suparco. The Educators Arizona campus, Bahria College Karsaz, Al-Madarsa-tus-saifiya-tul-Burhaniya School, Chiniot Islamia School and the Mama Parsi Girls' School qualified for the final. In the poster competition Mama Parsi School, Green Public School and Chiniot Islamia School won the competition.
On October, a water rocket competition will be held at Suparco Hqs for the first time among 40 teams of different schools. Students will get an opportunity to build and launch their own water rockets. The winner of the water rocket competition will represent Pakistan at the 17th session of APRSAF to be held in Australia in November.-PR
