The US Embassy sponsored a seminar on "Youth Entrepreneurship for Global Leadership" for 100 undergraduate students at the National Library of Pakistan. The seminar highlighted new ideas in the areas of entrepreneurship, innovation, technology, and leadership. Students from ten universities in Islamabad and Rawalpindi participated in the seminar.
The participants of the seminar attended sessions on enterprise development, job creation, and fostering youth entrepreneurship. "The US is empowering Pakistan's youth entrepreneurs through seminars, exchanges, and training to give them the skills and tools to create a better future," said US Cultural Affairs Attaché Brent Beemer.
Seminar speakers who have participated in the US Embassy's academic and professional exchange programmes to the US included Mardan Ali, Political Advisor to Minister of Youth; Dr Ijaz Shafi Gilani, Chairman of Gallup Pakistan; and Sahibzada Immanuel Ahmed, Managing Director of Society for Skills, Training and Development.-PR
