A separate crime-monitoring cell will be established for North Karachi Industrial Area (NKIA) here, said Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), Karachi, Fayyaz Ahmed Leghari. He was talking to a delegation of NKATI led by Noor Ahmed Khan, which met him here on Tuesday, according to a statement.
Speaking on the occasion, the CCPO Karachi said the concerned SP would be the Focal Person of the crime-monitoring cell of NKATI. The security arrangements will be made with the assistance and consultation of NKATI, he added. The CCPO Karachi said provision of security to traders and industrialists is must for economic stability and employment generation. He was apprised by the delegation that the NKATI, with more than 2000 large, medium and small industrial units, plays its vital role in development of the country.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) led by its President, Dr Idrees Edhi also held a separate meeting with CCPO Fayyaz Ahmed Leghari. The delegation informed the CCPO Karachi about security related issues. Fayyaz Ahmed Leghari said provision of security to the doctors is among top priorities of the police. Deputy Inspector General, (Admin), Sardar Abdul Majeed, SSP Khurram Waris, Dr Habib-ur-Rehman and Dr Samrina Hashmi were also present on the occasion.-PR
