Gold, silver prices hit record high

Gold and silver prices continue upward journey, reaching fresh peaks of Rs 43, 700 per tola and Rs 660 per tola respectively on Thursday, traders said. Gold was available for Rs 43, 350 per tola a day before, posting a rise of Rs 350 to another record high of Rs 43, 700. Similarly, the price of gold per 10-gram hit a new high of Rs 37, 457 up from last high of Rs 37, 457, traders said.
Gold on the international market was quoted at a record high level of $1357 an ounce up from previous high of $1346. Silver price also reached new highs of Rs 660 per tola up from last high of Rs 650 and Rs 565.71 per 10 grams up from Rs 548.57, traders added.
