Umar Gul, Pakistan's hard throwing and most effective bowlers when it comes to shorter versions of cricket joined in holy matrimony with a lady doctor from the valley of Swat in a marriage arranged by his parents on Sunday. Though a star and having thousands of opportunities and countless females ready to be his life partner, he chooses to go with the choice of his parents.
Umar said that he was satisfied with the way things were and did not regret not having to choose his bride for himself. Umar Gul, who is also a world record holder as he grabbed 5 wickets for just 6 runs in Twenty20, said marriage was commitment and a part of Islamic way of life and that it was better to have all the joys of life at home rather than running around for temporary fun.
