Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Chief Altaf Hussain has said that his party is the only political party in the country which launched elaborate relief and rescue activities in all parts of Pakistan to help the flood victims.
Altaf Hussain was addressing via telephone from London to a gathering of Khidmat- e- Khalq Foundation (KKF), a welfare wing of his party.
The MQM Chief said the objective of the politics of his party is to serve the humanity. He said the worst flood in the history of the country left millions of people homeless. The massive flood devastated thousands of residential units and also razed a large number of villages, he added.
Altaf Hussain said an honest and merit-oriented system would be established in the country, through which the people would be provided all facilities and a good life without any discrimination. He said the flood affectees are suffering, while some of the leaders of different parties are busy in private television talk shows but his party is providing maximum possible relief to the flood victims. He said the relief activities of the KKF are underway and the same will continue.
