Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Monday imposed major penalty of dismissal from service upon G R Baloch, an officer of the Foreign Service of Pakistan on account of his conviction by the Accountability Court. Baloch was found involved in unlawful issuance of Pakistani passports by misusing his authority during his posting in the Consulate of Pakistan, Houston, United States.
He has been sentenced by the Accountability Court, Rawalpindi to one-year rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000.
