The Karachi Port handled 81,288 tonnes of cargo including 56,018 tonnes of import, 25,270 tonnes of export cargo and 3,160 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Friday. The total import cargo of 56,018 tonnes comprised 33,968 of tonnes of dry cargo including 25,954 tonnes of containerised cargo; 4,821 tonnes of DAP; 666 tonnes of chickpeas; 442tonnes of sugar; 2,085 tonnes of bulk cargo and 22,050 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 25,270 tonnes, comprised of 25,270 tonnes of dry cargo including 12,348 tonnes of containerised cargo; 5,667 tonnes of cement; 6,800 tonnes of loss bulk cement and 455 tonnes of bulk cargo. A total number of four vessels namely viz C S L Ride, STX Patraikos, J Friend and Saigon Express carrying containers, general cargo and containers sailed out to the sea during the reported period.
There are seven vessels namely viz Shimokita, J Friend, L T Genova, Gulf Tiger, Stolt Orchid, Ginga Cougar and Bunga Raya Enam are currently at the berths to load/offload navy, general cargo, containers, tankers and containers on the same day. A total number of four vessels namely viz Beluga Felicity, L T Genova, Bunga Raya Enam and Stolt Orchid are expected to sail on Friday during business activities hours. While five more vessels namely viz Rukia, Kota Akbar, Glory Sun, Gulf Tiger and Hansa Stavanger are expected to sail on Saturday.
There are three vessels namely viz YM Europe, APL Sokhna and Sewak carrying containers are due to arrive on Friday. While the same number of vessels namely viz Stena Progress, C S Discovery and Iron Butterfly carrying mogas, containers and project cargo are expected to arrive to load/offload at the same Port on Saturday.

PORT QASIM
Port Qasim maintained port's activities of cargo volume of 83,545 tonnes including 69,024 tonnes of import; 14,521 tonnes of export cargo and total 1,868 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) were handled during the last 24 hours of business activities on Friday.
The total import cargo volume comprised of 69,024 tonnes including 39,169 tonnes of furnace oil; 12,200 tonnes of palm oil; 2,610 tonnes of chemicals and 15,045 tonnes of containerised cargo were handled. The total export cargo volume comprised of 14,521 tonnes including 4,141 tonnes of cement and 10,380 tonnes of containerised cargo handled during the reported business period on Friday.
There are four vessels namely viz C V CMA CGM Quartz, C V Bostan, C V APL Chile and M T DL Aster sailed out to the sea during the last 24 hours of business periods. While two more vessels namely viz C V Rotterdam Express and M V Tom Ship-I are expected to sail on the same day afternoon.
A total number of seven vessels namely viz C V APL Chile, C V Rotterdam Express, M V Tom Ship-I, M V Indian Fortune, M V Orient-III, M T Bunga Al-Amanda and M T Fly Eagle are currently occupying the berths to load/offload containers, cement, sugar, palm oil, chemicals and diesel oil respectively during the last 24 hours of business activities at the port on Friday. There are three vessels namely viz C V Glory, C V Maricena and M V Cape York carrying containers, palm oil and sugar, are currently at the outer anchorage.
There are three vessels namely viz C V Glory, C V Margrite Rickmers and M V Cape York carrying containers and sugar are expected to take berths at Container Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively on Friday.
While, There are three more vessels namely viz C V MSC Namibia, M T Harsandi Leader and M T Four Bay carrying containers, palm oil and furnace oil are expected to arrive at Port Qasim on the same day during the business hours. Meantime, there are three more vessels namely viz C V Maersk Montana and M T Samho Leader carrying containers and palm oil are expected to arrive at same port on Saturday.
