The convocation ceremonies of General Duty (Pilot), Admin and Special Duties (A&SD), Air Defence (AD) and Engineering courses were held at Pakistan Air Force Academy, Risalpur on Tuesday. Professor Dr Azmat Hayat Khan, Vice Chancellor University of Peshawar and Lieutenant General Muhammad Asghar, Rector National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), were the chief guests at the occasions respectively.
Convocation ceremony of General Duty (Pilot) course was graced by Professor Dr Azmat Hayat Khan, Vice Chancellor University of Peshawar as chief guest. He congratulated the graduating officers and awarded degrees in the discipline of Bachelor of Science. Pilot Officer Fahad Raza Anwer was awarded the Trophy for securing first position in Humanities Subjects.
Pilot Officer M Salman Sher won the Trophy for Best Performance in Aero-Sciences subjects. Pilot Officer M Salman Sher received the Trophy for Overall Best Performance in Academics. Aviation Cadet Bilal Zarin received the Trophy for Overall Best Performance in Academics in A&SD course, while Aviation Cadet Sharjeel Ahmed received the Trophy for Overall Best Performance in Academics in AD course.
Convocation ceremony of Engineering Course was graced by Lieutenant General Muhammad Asghar, Rector National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) as chief guest. He awarded Merit Certificates and Medals to the distinction holders. Merit certificate for Best Aerospace Vehicle Design was awarded to NUST Cadet Syed Hassan Mahmood Wasti, while Merit Certificate for Best Avionics System Design was awarded to Pilot Officer Salman Liaqat.
Rector's gold medals for Best Project in Aerospace was awarded to joint project of Pilot Officer Zahid Mahmood, Pilot Officer Azfar Adeel Bhatti and Pilot Officer Amjad Aziz. Rector's gold medal for Best Project in Avionics Engineering was awarded to Pilot Officer Adeel Anwar and President's Gold Medals for standing first in Aerospace and Avionics Disciplines were awarded to NUST Cadet Syed Hassan Mahmood Wasti and Pilot Officer Adeel Anwar respectively.
