Nokia on Wednesday launched a new messaging handset called "Nokia C3" in Pakistan. The set is built with social networking features with a full QWERTY keyboard. New launch is first Nokia device the world's most popular mobile phone platform of Series 40. It enables users to view, post comment, share locations and even update their status on social networks such as Facebook and Twitter from their home screen.
Nokia C3 offers more features of a smartphone to its users at lower prices. To maximise the connectivity experience, Nokia is for the first time collaborating with a local telecom service provider - Ufone to bring free data bundles for all Ufone customers with the purchase of every C3 phone. The free data bundle would allow Ufone customers to enjoy unlimited internet access, Ovi services, email and chat on their social and work life.
Speaking at the launching ceremony held at a local hotel, Product and Portfolio Manager, Pakistan and Afghanistan Khurram Pradhan said, "Today Nokia is proud to present its C3 device in Pakistan. The new Nokia C3 has taken Nokia a step closer to its vision of bringing to the market, feature rich phones at more affordable prices. Our consumer survey has revealed that affordability is a major issue for Pakistani consumers, they want to have more variety in their mobile phone. Nokia C3 is the most affordable QWERTY phone to date which has in store not just the ultimate messaging experience but also the ease of staying connected with your social circle via web."
"Our messaging device range is very successful," said head of Marketing, Nokia Pakistan and Afghanistan Haseeb Ihtisham. "People want the best messaging and social networking experiences on an affordable device. Nokia is constantly striving to bring the best for its consumers in terms of both devices and solutions. The Nokia C3 will enhance the youth lifestyle of being connected all the time with facebook and IM at the most affordable price," he added.
