In a bid to enhance capacity of the employees, Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD) has started on Thursday a ten-day 'Capacity Building Workshop' here in a local hotel, which was inaugurated by HHRD Country Director, Fazal-ur-Rehman.
The ten-day long workshop aimed at building the capacity of the employees and volunteers working with HHRD in different on-going projects across the country, where they were given lectures by various universities professors, NGOs' representatives, besides others experts.
Fazal-ur-Rehman who was also the chief guest, said, "Our effort is not only limited to the rehabilitation of the flood victims, but we continue our effort until the dream of welfare state come true," adding that the workshop was organised in order to built the capacity of HHRD's employees to turn the dream of welfare state into a reality.
He went saying that with the grace of Allah HHRD has completed projects worth Rs 1 billion in the last five years. The other notable speakers were Arif Khalil, Dr Shafiq-ud-Din, Dr Shabir Ahmad, Dr Fozia and Saleem Mansoori. The workshop was attended by employees and volunteers attached to HHRD in large number.-PR
