Three persons were killed while seven others sustained injuries when four armed men opened indiscriminate firing at the busiest bazar of Nawaban Wala, on Faisalabad Samundri Road on late Thursday night. According to an official of the Saman Abad Police Post, ill-fated Muhammad Rafique, Bashir Boota and Tariq Ali were discussing their daily issues as usual when four unidentified armed men came in a car and started indiscriminate firing.
Muhammad Rafiq and Bashir Boota died on the spot while remaining were rushed to DHQ hospital where Tariq Ali also died while the condition of 7 injured persons was reported to be critical. Those who are being treated at hospital are: Muhammad Asif,John Masieh, Hashim, Nasir Ahmed, Nisar Ahmed and Khadim Hussain. The cause of this gruesome incident could not be ascertained as yet because no one could identify the killers. However, the Saman Abad Police have registered a case and started investigation.
