The Karachi Port handled 104,707 tonnes of cargo including 72,502 tonnes of import, 32,205 tonnes of export cargo and 2,568 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Friday. The total import cargo of 72,502 tonnes comprised 31,836 of tonnes of dry cargo including 12,255 tonnes of containerised cargo; 19,500 tonnes of coal; 81 tonnes of bulk cargo and 40,666 tonnes of oil or liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 32,205 tonnes, comprised of 32,205 tonnes of dry cargo including 27,249 tonnes of containerised cargo; 420 tonnes of bulk cargo and 4,536 tonnes of cement. A total number of three vessels namely viz CAP George, Han Jin Gydnia and Stena Progress carrying were sailed out to the sea during the reported period.
There are four vessels namely viz Kota Arif, Bolan, Bow Lion and AL Deerah are currently at the berths to load/offload containers, general cargo, D S B oil and diesel jet oil during the reported business hours on the same day at Karachi Port.
A total number of three vessels namely viz AL Deerah, Kota Arif and Hansa Augsburg are expected to sail on Friday. While there are two more vessels namely viz Bow Lion and Sammi Super Star are expected to sail on Saturday. A total number of four vessels namely viz Pacific Condor, Sepitam, APL Guangzhou and Lihai carrying LSFO, containers and coal are due to arrive on Friday. While there are six more vessels namely viz AL Khan-1, Samin-1, Hyundai New York, Cape Manuel, Lodestar Genesis and Sea Hope carrying carbon black, containers, chemicals and canola oil respectively, are expected to arrive at the port on Saturday during the business activity hours.

PORT QASIM
Port Qasim maintained port's activities of cargo volume of 29,665 tonnes including 18,710 tonnes of import; 10,955 tonnes of export cargo and total 1,525 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) were handled during the last 24 hours of business activities on Friday. The total import cargo volume comprised of 18,710 tonnes including 2,500 tonnes of palm oil; 3,805 tonnes of sugar and 12,405 tonnes of containerised cargo were handled during the activities hours at the port.
The total export cargo volume comprised of 10,955 tonnes including 2,579 tonnes of cement and 8,376 tonnes of containerised cargo were handled during the reported period on Friday at Port Qasim. There are five vessels namely viz C V Saudi Hofuf, C V CMA CGM Puget, C V RHL Fiducia, M V orient-III and M T Samho Leader sailed out to the sea on Friday morning. While another vessel namely viz M V Indian Fortune is expected to sail on the same day afternoon.
A total number of seven vessels namely viz C V CMA CGM Puget, C V RHL Fiducia, M V Mallak, M V Orient-III, M V Indian Fortune, M V Cap York and M T Samho Leader are currently occupying the berths to load/offload containers, cement, sugar and palm oil respectively during the last 24 hours of business activities at the port on Friday. There are six vessels namely viz C V Glory, M T Stolt Nanami, M V Rana, M T Nogogini, M V Asia Star and Samho Crystal carrying containers, phosphoric acid and palm oil respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
A total number of four vessels namely viz C V Glory, M V Rana, M V Asia Star and M T Stolt Nanami scheduled to load/offload containers, cement, palm oil and phosphoric acid are expected to take berths at QICT, MW-1, LCT and EVTL respectively on Friday during the business activity hours. While another vessel namely viz C V MSC Voyaget is expected to arrive at Port Qasim on the same day, while another vessel namely viz Carrier Precedence is scheduled to arrive on Saturday at the same port.
