Indian police took into custody veteran Kashmiri Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Geelani, from occupied Srinagar airport, on Sunday, and later placed him under house arrest. Syed Ali Geelani was returning from New Delhi after participating in a seminar, KMS reported.
On the other hand, the police also arrested half-dozen APHC leaders including Yasmeen Raja and Muhammad Abdullah Tari outside the Hurriyat headquarters and lodged them at Rajbagh police station.
