The 3rd Annual Fishing Competition was held at the Royal Palm Golf course in which over 60 anglers entered a competition with state-of-the-art fishing tackles. The competition centered around Muhammad Ali Zaidi, M.S.Babar, Iftikhar Taj Mian, Sher Zaman, Amna Sabzwari, Hafiz Yousaf, Ali Moeen, Chaudhry Suhail, Faisal Mehmood, Rizwan Atta, Aftab Mohtashim and Faisal Iqbal.
These skilled anglers offered good food as bait to the fish, besides their skills and patience and managed some rewarding runs catching four pounders, three pounders, two pounders and even the lighter ones. Somehow the festival offered opportunities even to those who were new entrants and although aware of the basics it was their first big chance to show their skills. The winner ultimately turned out to be Hafiz Yousaf and his son Abdullah Yousaf of Aitchison who with seven catches, the best being four pounds was the most successful team. Muhammad Ali Zaidi a seventy year old angler was second with five catches and others who did well were Faisal Iqbal (three) and Amna Sabzwari (two).-PR
