Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) will conduct written tests for 39 candidates today (Wednesday) for the post of executive secretary amid reports that the candidate has allegedly already been selected for the post, Business Recorder has learnt.
Sources said a cousin of a top official had been appointed one week ago in violation of rules and regulations and was now heading a committee formed to conduct a written test for appointment for the post of executive secretary.
As many as 39 candidates have been short listed against the post of executive secretary and written test will be conducted today at Ogra office building. "The chairman of the subject committee has been assigned the task to prepare a written test as a first step and get it approved by the competent authority (chairman)," sources said, adding that the Chairman of that committee had been appointed on a contract basis and therefore had no authority to head any committee with an objective to make appointments in Authority (Ogra).
