Punjab Finance Minister Tanvir Ashraf Kaira has stressed need for enhancing capacity of tax collecting agencies to increase provincial revenue. He also stressed for simplifying the system of all institutions responsible for tax collection so that industrialists and traders could deposit their taxes under one-window operation.
He was talking to various delegations here on Tuesday, an official said. The Minister observed that the cost of doing business in Pakistan is very high and the government is trying hard to minimise it. "There is a need for evolving a long-term economic policy, controlling of expenditures and enhancing revenue collection, in order to facilitate the masses," he added.
