ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik said on Friday new Visa Policy will be introduced in the country soon to launch crackdown on persons living illegally in Pakistan.
Talking to media persons outside the parliament, he informed that the actions would be taken against those living in Pakistan without having valid documents. He made a mention of some people living in Pakistan over the last 30 years on Visit Visa.
To a question the Minister said it is unfortunate that Afghan President Hamid Karzai is criticising Pakistan for recent terrorist attack in Afghanistan with out any evidence. "It would have been much better had the Afghan President issued a statement after the investigation", he said.
Instead, the Minister said stable Afghanistan is in the interest of Pakistan. "We have taken number of steps for the stability of the Afghanistan so we should not be blamed for every action in Afghanistan" he remarked.
Interior Minister strongly condemned Karachi terrorists attack, saying perpetrators of this act would be arrested soon. He disclosed third terrorist group is involved in the terrorist’s activities in Karachi.
He said Inspector General and Director General Rangers have been asked to initiate investigation of the incident. The Minister appreciated the performance of Rangers in restoring peace in Karachi. Rehman Malik paid rich tribute to martyr of Karachi incident. No untoward incidents happened due to coordination among law enforcement agencies and provinces.
Enemy of the country wanted to destabilize the country, but they will not succeed in their nefarious design, he said. He said recent arrest of five terrorists from Federal Capital was made possible due to close coordination of intelligences and law enforcement agencies, he said.
