A 30-member trade delegation from the state of Melaka, Malaysia will visit Pakistan next month to further strengthen business relations between Pakistan and Malaysia. This was stated by Consul General of Malaysia in Karachi, Mod Khalid Abdul Razak during his visit to Federation House here on Wednesday where he held a meeting with the office bearers of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI).
A food festival is also been arranged here during the delegation's visit. Malaysian CG said that Malaysian exports to Pakistan registered a growth of 13.57 percent. During the first six months of this year export of palm oil to Pakistan stood at ringgit 2.41 million as compared to ringgit 1.97 million to the same period last year showing a growth of 22.59 percent. FPCCI President Sultan A. Chawla emphasised the need for organising conferences and exchange of trade delegations for promotion of Halal products and stressed the need for establishment of a joint working group for this purpose.
