Attock Refinery Limited has posted Rs 583.324 million as profit after tax in the quarter ended September 30, 2010 as compared to after tax loss of Rs 553.182 million in the same period in 2009. The board of directors of the company in its meeting held on Friday that the company registered earning per share of Rs 6.84 in the period under review against per share loss of Rs 4.65 in the same period a year back.
According to the financial results sent to Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE), the company's net sales increased to Rs 25.040 billion in this quarter against Rs 19.256 billion in the same quarter last year. The cost of sales increased to Rs 24.163 billion against Rs 19.779 billion. The company posted Rs 1,001.016 million as before tax profit from refinery operations in this quarter against before tax loss of Rs 532.120 million in the same period last year.
