The report in a section of the press about so called mysterious consignments booked by PIA from New York for Presidency is wrong and is denied. Contrary to the report, no baggage or cargo was booked on flight PK 722/ 26-10-10 on which the Federal Minister for Defence also reportedly travelled, a press release issued here said.
It may be mentioned that consignment containing cartons of books titled "Reconciliation" by Shaheed Mohatarma Benazir Bhutto have occasionally been booked from New York for the Presidency. All shipment and security formalities were strictly followed and payment for shipments received. PIA suffering any losses on this account is not correct and is denied. Also incorrect is the assertion that the cartons are shipped in a mysterious way bypassing the required formalities, it added.-PR
