Karachi Relief Trust (KRT) organised a ceremony to honour the volunteers, who participated in relief activities during the recent devastating floods. The ceremony was organised at Indus Valley School of Arts and Architecture, wherein the relief and rescue workers and volunteers were given certificates of appreciation.
Addressing the ceremony, speakers said that the recent devastating floods in the country had rendered about 20 million people homeless, besides causing widespread destruction. They hailed the workers and volunteers of KRT for their full participation in relief and rescue activities during the floods. They also appreciated the Citizen Foundation and Hand NGO for their role in setting up field hospitals in floods affected areas.-PR
