President Sindh National Front (SNF) Mumtaz Ali Bhutto has slammed Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani for his statement that nationalisation of educational institutions by Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was a mistake. Talking to Business Recorder Mumtaz Ali Bhutto alleged the present PPP is opposing every step of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and following the footsteps of Ziaul Haq.
Zia had always been saying that the nationalisation of educational institutions was wrong and now PPP Prime Minister endorsed his point of view, he deplored. He said that Gilani had promised in the parliament that Bhutto case would be reopened but it did not happened yet.
Mumtaz Bhutto said that the murderer of Mir Murtaza were released and given the highest position in the country, while suspected people were provided protection. He said the PPP leadership had raised objections over UN investigation report instead of implementing it. He said the Hakim Ali Zardari and Asif Ali Zardari had celebrated the execution of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, while Yousuf Raza Gilani was in the cabinet of Zia government.
He said writ of the government is nowhere in the country. "Sharif brothers hold Punjab while MQM holds half of Sindh and rest of the province is in the hands of corrupts," he added. Commenting on targeted killings in Karachi, SNF chairman asked why Interior Minister Rehman Malik did not arrest the extortionists.
"The problem is that there is a war going on for control of Karachi in which MQM, PPP, and ANP are indulged," he added. Criticising the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award, Mumtaz Bhutto said, "the PPP leadership was busy in amassing praise for giving NFC Award terming it a big achievement, which is totally wrong as Sindh has left with empty hands."
