The Swiss franc was set to retest the previous day's 12-week low against the euro, with the common European currency also gaining against the dollar as investors took positions ahead of the US Federal Reserve's next meeting. The franc, regarded by investors as a safe haven, was down a touch against the greenback on Tuesday.
The franc was down 0.1 percent against the euro compared to the New York close, trading at 1.3797 per euro and off an intra-day low of 1.3823. The franc was up 0.1 percent against the dollar at 0.9902 per dollar.
