The Karachi Port handled 160,950 tonnes of cargo including 127,454 tonnes of import, 33,496 tonnes of export cargo and 4,203 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Tuesday.
The total import cargo of 127,454 tonnes comprised 64,465 of tonnes of dry cargo including 33,183 tonnes of containerised cargo; 1,203 tonnes of b bulk cargo and 30,079 tonnes of total bulk cargo comprising 20,000 tonnes of coal; 1,571 tonnes of sugar; 8,508 tonnes of canola and 62,989 tonnes of oil or liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 33,496 tonnes comprised of 33,496 tonnes of dry cargo including 29,621 tonnes of containerised cargo; 100 tonnes of b bulk cargo and 3,775 tonnes of total bulk cargo comprising 3,775 tonnes of cement. A total number of six vessels namely Irenes Rainbow, O E L Shreyas, A P L Amman, Miss Marilena, Bunga Melati-5 and Busan Express carrying loaded containers, tankers and loaded containers are sailed out to the sea during the reported business period on Tuesday.
There are seven vessels namely Ince Fortune, Samin-1, O E L Shreyas, Trans Ocean, Thana bhum, Limenetic and Wappen Von Stuttgart are currently at the berths to load/offload bulk cargo, loaded containers, bulk cargo, loaded containers and tankers respectively during the reported business hours on the same day at Karachi Port.
There are four vessels namely Limnetic, Thana Bhum, Canarise Princess and Alliance Beaumont carrying loaded containers, vehicle cargo and coal are expected to sail on Tuesday. While there are three more vessels namely Samin-1, M T Johar and Wappen Von Stuttgart carrying containers, crude oil and base oil are expected to sail on Wednesday to the open sea.
A total number of five vessels namely Han Jin Buenos Aires, Concord, Bunga Raya Sepuluh, Antonia Schulte and Valopoula carrying loaded containers and coal respectively are expected to arrive on Tuesday. While there are two more vessels namely Oriental Marguerite and Manila Express carrying ethanol and loaded containers respectively are expected to arrive on Wednesday during the business activity hours at Karachi Port.

PORT QASIM
Port Qasim maintained port's activities of cargo volume of 20,028 tonnes including 15,709 tonnes of import; 4,319 tonnes of export cargo and there were total 876 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) handled during the last 24 hours of business activities on Tuesday.
The total import cargo volume comprised of 15,709 tonnes including 4,500 tonnes of soya bean oil; 3,697 tonnes of sugar and 7,512 tonnes of containerised cargo were handled during the business activities hours of the port on the same day. The total export cargo volume comprised of 4,319 tonnes including 569 tonnes of rice and 3,750 tonnes of containerised cargo were handled during the reported period on Tuesday at Port Qasim.
There is a vessel namely Caribbean Fidelity carrying soya bean oil sailed out to the sea on Tuesday morning. A total number of four vessels namely M T Oriental Queen-VI, M T Caribbean Fidelity, M V Thorn Sun and M V Captain Wael are currently occupying the berths to load/offload rice, edible oil and sugar respectively during the last 24 hours of business activities at the port on Tuesday.
There are four vessels namely C V Golam-e-Mustasa, C V Cap York, C V USAC Shuwaikh and M T Bunga Melati-5 carrying rice, loaded containers and edible oil respectively are currently to line up at the outer anchorage of the port. A total number of two vessel namely C V USAC Shuwaikh and M T Bunga Melati-5 are scheduled to load/offload loaded containers and edible oil are expected to take berths at QICT and LCT respectively on Tuesday during the business activity hours at the port.
