The Punjab Bar Council (PBC) on Thursday nominated Rai Bashir, the Chairman Khatam-e-Nabuwwat Lawyers Forum, as member Judicial Commission. This was decided in a meeting held at PBC premises with Vice Chairman Punjab Bar Council in the chair.
Rai Bashir, a candidate of Friends Alliance, secured 58 votes out of a total 75, whereas members of Hamid Khan Group boycotted the polling. Speaking on the occasion, Rai Bashir thanked the house for reposing confidence in him and vowed that he would work at his level best to fulfil the responsibility.
