OUP to launch English-Sindhi dictionary

Oxford University Press (OUP) will launch its first Oxford English-Sindhi Dictionary on Thursday, November 11, at a local hotel here. According to the details, the dictionary is a bilingual edition of the Concise Oxford English Dictionary and offers Sindhi equivalents for up to 140,000 English words and expressions.
The meanings of words in the dictionary are explained through its most familiar, secondary, technical, colloquial, idiomatic, historical and archaic senses. Besides other features, the dictionary also includes illustrative sentences with their Sindhi translations and provides transliteration of English pronunciation of words in Sindhi script.
