The protests of Bar Associations of Faisalabad Division for establishment of High Court Bench has been entered into the third week and protestors announced that the boycott of courts would be continued till acceptance of the long standing demand for justice.
Addressing a protest meeting at District Bar, S M Iqbal President Bar Association Faisalabad announced that the lawyers would observe strike and boycott of the court proceedings after 10:00 AM till the acceptance of the demand of High court Bench. He said that more than 75 thousand cases are pending in Lahore High Court and 50,000 people are travelling to Lahore for justice.
Members of Action Committee of DBA, Choudhry Bashir Ahmad, Muhammad Siddique Randhawa, Saleem Jehangir Chattah, Muhammad Amin Shad and Nasir Ali Goriaya also addressed the meeting. They also supported that High Court Bench should also be established at Sargodha.
Addressing the meeting, Saleem Akhtar Khachella, President DBA Sargodha appreciated the support of Faisalabad Bar for High Court Bench at Sargodha and announced that lawyers of the both bars will work together for justice. Rana Ali Abbas Khan, General Secretary DBA Faisalabad demanded to the Punjab government for preparing proposal or advised to the Punjab Governor for establishment of the High Court Bench at Faisalabad to solve the problems of the 15 million population of Faisalabad Division.
Furthermore, addressing a press conference at Faisalabad Press Club, former Senator and Provincial Chief of Tehrik-e-Insaf, Tariq Choudhry said that if government ignored this demand, the people of the Central Punjab will demand for a separate province who were not entertaining for justice on the one side, and growing lawlessness, corruption and injustice creating so many problems for the public. He said that High Court Benches are working in Multan and Bhawalpur within the distance of 50 miles, while government is not realising the genuine demand of the people.
