LDA demolishes 40 illegal structures

The Lahore Development Authority (LDA), Municipal Administration Samanabad Town and National Logistic Cell carried out a joint operation against illegal encroachment along Multan Road here on Saturday and demolished as many as 40 structures that had been erected along this road from Scheme Morr to Azam Garden.
According to a LDA's spokesman, the operation that continued from 9 am to 5 pm had been launched for clearing the right way of the road for its expansion. The demolished structures included shops, ramps, brick constructions and other commercial structures. The second phase of the operation will be initiated very soon and illegal structures will be removed on the remaining portion of the road up to Tokhar Niaz Baig.
