With the winter season all set in, cultural activities are picking up pace gradually with the art galleries organising solo and group shows of paintings, calligraphic paintings and allied activities in the provincial metropolis. The Revivers Galleria in the Gulberg is resuming its art and artists promotion activities in the right earnest by organising a solo show of paintings of Karachi-based well-known artist Nisar Ahmad, which scheduled to be held at its premises from November 10, 2010.
Public Affairs Officer in the US Consulate General at Lahore Ms Jennifer Larson will be the chief guest on the occasion and inaugurate the paintings, exhibition which is to continue for ten days till November 19, 2010.
On display in the exhibition appropriately titled "Sat Rangi" will be about two dozen paintings of known artist Nisar Ahmad depicting Eastern female form in highly bright colours which the art lovers as well as the artists and the art students would certainly like and appreciate, said the owner and curator of the Revivers Galleria Ms Sara Anjum on being contacted.
She said that the arrangements for holding of solo show of the artwork of Nisar Ahmad from Karachi are being given final touches these days. This will be artist Nisar Ahmad's second solo show after the first one was held at the Art Emporium in Karachi in 2007. He has also participated in four group shows between 2008 to 2010, two each at Karachi, Pakistan, and Dubai, UAE. Through this solo show, artist Nisar Ahmad is displaying his full of colours artwork in Lahore for the first time.
