Post of IMS DG abolished

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has abolished the post of the Director General of Information Management System (IMS) and accepted the resignation of Zafar Iqbal Siddiqi, Director General IMS. The FBR on Friday issued a notification in this regard.
Following the abolition of the post of the IMS DG, it is yet not clear whether Pakistan Revenue Automation Limited (Pral), a subsidiary of the FBR, would be responsible for procurement of IT-related equipment and implementation of the IT functions in the field formations, sources said.
