Six-day working week for schools

All public and private schools will remain open six days a week from November 22, 2010, with only Sunday being the holiday. However, there will be no change in the schedule of examination, said a notification issued by education department of Punjab.
It said the new timings of administrative offices of schools will be Monday to Saturday, 8am to 3pm and Friday 8 am to 12 noon, while timings of public and private schools would be Monday to Saturday, 8.30am to 2.30pm and Friday, 8.30am to 12.30pm.-PR
