Rulers following US and Western policies: Jamaat-e-Islami

Jamaat-e-Islami deputy chief, Sirajul Haq, has said that the Pakistani rulers had done incalculable harm to the country on foreign, geographical and economic fronts by blindly following the US and Western policies. He was talking to different delegations at Mansoora on return from his tour to Britain.
He said that involvement of the Pakistan army in military operation in Tribal areas had resulted in the death of thousands without any gain. On the other hand, it distanced the masses from the armed forces. This also spread terrorism all over the country while Washington was insisting on a fresh military operation only to serve its goals. He said by involving Pakistan in military operations, the US provided India an opportunity to deepen its roots in Afghanistan.
