Governor Punjab Salman Taseer called on Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Tuesday and discussed with him current political situation, security and law and order in the country. According to a press release issued here, Governor Punjab gave some suggestions for improving security and law and order in the country.
He also appreciated Federal Government's countrywide campaign for purging different departments of corruption. Rehman Malik said the government was sincere in its efforts for improving law and order and utilising all available resources for the purpose, adding the government would take strict action against those officials who were involved in corruption. He also expressed satisfaction over FIA's campaign for the elimination of corruption.
