Firstly I want to thank Almighty Allah for all his benefits for peace and harmony, and for our creation. We give prayers and salam to the best human being the Holy Prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon him). At the start of my speech I would like to convey to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, my heartiest felicitations on the joyous occasion of the 40th National Day.
We would like to express our thanks and profound regards to the Government and the brotherly people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan specially for the Government of Sindh for the good reception and making the environment suitable for our diplomatic work.
At the same time, I would like to express my thanks to H.E. Dr Ishrat-ul Ebad Khan Governor Sindh, and H.E. Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Chief Minister Sindh, H.E. Nisar Khoro Speaker of Sindh Assembly and to all Honourable Ministers, Members of Sindh Provincial Parliament, businessmen, our friends in Karachi.
The legendary leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, and right planning for the last 40 years, has yielded immense progress in all spheres of activity - political, economic, and social for Oman. Today, after 40 years, Oman is proud of all the achievements made in all activities of life, the Omani citizen is now living at the highest level of prosperity and peace, and participating with sincerity in making development decisions, and enjoying all facilities, in his life, as per the vision of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said for his people. Achieving success after passing through various difficulties and challenges which faced Oman at the beginning.
Omani politics has for the last many years and up till now, has extended the hand of friendship and cordial relations with different countries on the basis of mutual respect and non interference in the internal issues of the country, and respecting the neighbouring countries, and always preferring dialogue for solving the conflicting issues with all parties, and because of these fundamental rules, Oman makes strong and advanced relations between so many countries for last 40 years. And these relations grows day by day in all respects. Oman foreign relations had helped in the development of economics and social spheres and guaranteed peace and prosperity for itself and for the world, and become a major element for providing peace in the region and all over the world.
Under the revolutionary leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, social progress in Oman in different sectors-social, economic and political has been guaranteed, specially in the sector of Justice. The entire infrastructure like roads, electricity, and all other services are developed in all areas in Oman. Moreover, political stability is the main element of the Government of Oman, which promotes good relations in regional and international countries.
Economic progress in Oman follows 5 years plans which aim at benefiting society and this plan is reviewed regularly and is aimed at controlling and fixing the price of essential items, and increasing the incomes of citizens.
The relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, has always been strong and cordial, and Omani officials gives great importance to these relations and are always trying to improve these relations by all possible means. Both countries, mostly have identical views on almost all regional and international issues, and there are a lot of Pakistanis in Oman, and there are Omanis in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. All these factors encourage investment in both countries in so many sectors. There are Oman Pak companies like Pak Oman Investment Co Ltd, and Shoaib Amin Petrochemical Co, and Oman International Bank. All these companies participated in the economic development and provided good atmosphere for investors in both countries.
At the end, we would like to pay our profound regards and thanks to the Government and people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for the efforts they have made to guaranteeing political stability and the efforts to recover from the tragic floods which hit Pakistan and caused loss of human lives and economic problems.
