Partial trade activities resumed on Saturday after remaining closed for four consecutive days on account of Eid-ul-Azha and security purposes in the provincial metropolis. All major business centres, included Mina Bazaar, Pipal Mandi, Qissa Khwani, Ashraf Road, currency market at jewellers' shops were partially opened.
However, trading activities remained dim as majority of the people, particularly those hailing from other districts and had left for their native towns were likely to return on Sunday. The government had announced a three-day holidays on account of Eid-ul-Azha. But, the two-day weekly off, on Saturday and Sunday, had proved another blessing for government employees and they enjoy 5 holidays on the Eid. The full-fledged business and trade activities in the city would start from Monday as all businessmen and government servants would return to their offices.
