The All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has said that due to unparalleled sacrifices of the Kashmiri people the international community has realised the urgency of resolving the Kashmir dispute. The APHC Chairman addressing a press conference at his Nigeen residence in occupied Srinagar on Saturday, termed his continued house arrest as the worst form of political vendetta.
He pointed out that after snatching political rights of the people, the puppet administration, under a conspiracy, was now preventing them from offering their religious obligations, which was condemnable. The Mirwaiz appealed to the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) to discharge its obligations towards the Kashmiri Muslims, KMS reported.
On the other hand, veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, who remained under house arrest, addressing a news conference at his residence, today, said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri people would not be allowed to go waste. He maintained that the ongoing agitation would be accelerated if India did not take steps for the settlement of the dispute.
Meanwhile, complete strike was observed across the occupied territory, today, call for which was given by Syed Ali Gilani in connection with the ongoing Quit Kashmir Movement. While, Indian troops, in their fresh act of state terrorism, martyred one innocent Kashmir youth at Keshwan in Kishtwar, today, during a siege and search operation. Amid complete shutdown, hundreds of people took to the streets in the area and staged massive protests against the killing. A recently released youth, Shaukat Ahmed Rather, who was shot at and injured by unidentified gunmen near Grawgund Litter in Pulwama on Friday evening, succumbed to his injuries in a hospital, today. An Indian trooper abducted and molested a girl at Bishnah Tinde Khurd in Jammu.
