The 1,280th Urs of Abdullah Shah Ghazi began here on Saturday. The three-day Urs was inaugurated by the Sindh Governor, Dr Ishrat ul Ebad Khan. The Provincial Minister for Aquaf, Abdul Haseeb, was also present on the occasion. The Governor laid a floral wreath at the Mazar and also offered 'Fateha'. The Governor Sindh also talked to the 'Zaireen' and distributed clothes among the 'Mustahqueen'.
On the occasion, he also visited various areas of the Mazar premises. Dr Ishrat was briefed about the arrangements at the Mazar and facilities for the Zaireen as well as the security measures that have been taken for the Urs. He said that Sindh is the land of the Sufis who gave the message of peace, love and brotherhood. By following their teachings we can help contribute towards the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
