Need to reduce non-development expenditures stressed

Punjab Finance Minister, Tanvir Ashraf Kaira has stressed the need to reduce non-development expenditures and broadening of tax base in order to increase national resources. He expressed these views while talking to a delegation of provincial parliamentarians here on Saturday, disclosed an official.
He said, "If the privileged class does not give up lavish lifestyle and exploitation of the poor is not stopped, then revolution in the country is inevitable. Hence, it is imperative that we change the status quo and in this connection the elite class has to sacrifice, and provide maximum relief to the masses on war footing," he added.
