UNICEF and CSDO Sialkot organised a children seminar to commemorate Universal Children's Day and raise awareness on Child Rights Convention at Anwaar Club, here on Monday.
A large number of children, officials of UNICEF, SCCI, concerned Government departments, NGOs, industrialists, teachers, parents of the students, members of the community based child protection committees, representatives of media, etc attended the programme. Children participated in various competitions ie hamad, naat, mili nagma, dramas, tableaus, speeches on the importance of education, etc.
A special dialogue among the students of Talim-ul-Amal Centers, business community and government officials was initiated which was very inspiring for the participants. During the dialogue, working and out-of-school children of the past raised various questions to the employers and Government officials for the protection of their rights. The Government officials and employers while responding to the questions assured their full support to protect the child rights.
