Comprehensive strategy is being evolved for the sustainable development of tribal areas, besides effective strategy for creation of new jobs in this belt. This was stated by Hameed Ullah Jan Afridi Federal Minister for Environment while talking to a delegation of tribal areas who called on him here on Tuesday.
"All out efforts are being made to normalise the life in tribal areas, including Khyber Agency", said Hameed Ullah Jan, adding that present government is committed to providing basic needs of life at the door steps of the common man in Fata and maximum resources are being utilised in this regard. Minister further said that people of tribal areas are united, brave and hard working. Government is focusing on the development and welfare of these people, he added.
He underlined that targets of development and prosperity can not be chased without increasing their standard of living. However, he said that government is taking initiatives to provide basic facilities like clean water, health, education etc to the people of Fata.
He further said that developmental schemes have been initiated in the tribal areas so that mission of providing better facilities of life may be fulfilled. Unemployment is the core issue of these areas however; effective strategy is being made for the creation of new jobs in Fata, he added. Afridi said that through consistent efforts, it is being decided that the recruitment in the two platoons will be made from Kumber Khail and Malik Din Khail (tribes) so that young generation may play their practical and responsible role for the security and development of their country.
"Rehabilitation of internal displaced people (IDP) was a mission of the government and related arrangements are being expedite", said Afridi, adding that Degree College of "Koi Sher Haider" is closed since long that is why the education of the youth of these areas is being suffered badly. Now, an alternate place is being arranged and political agent of that area has been directed in this context. He also informed that joint investigation team is being constituted to release those who are not involved in any illegal activity.
