Allied Bank, one of the largest banks in Pakistan, has been awarded the "27th Corporate Excellence Award" in financial category by Management Association of Pakistan (MAP). The bank has won the prestigious award for the second consecutive year.
Khalid A. Sherwani, CEO Allied Bank received the award from Dr Ishrat Husain, Dean & Director, Institute of Business Administration (IBA) and ex-Governor State Bank of Pakistan, at a ceremony held here recently. Also present on the occasion were Waqar A. Malik, President MAP and Sarfaraz A. Rehman, Chairman, Corporate Excellence Awards Sub-Committee.
Allied Bank was presented the award in recognition of its corporate governance and overall management best practices such as IT infrastructure, strategic planning and communication, leadership, corporate social responsibility, customer and market focus, human resource and risk management practices.
