The Karachi Port handled 118,825 tonnes of cargo including 76,218 tonnes of import cargo, 42,607 tonnes of export cargo, 4,128 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Wednesday. The total import cargo of 76,218 tonnes comprised of 32,359 tonnes of containerised cargo; 1,047 tonnes of general cargo; 25,500 tonnes of coal and 17,312 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 42,607 tonnes comprised of 22,285 tonnes of containerised cargo; 1,096 tonnes of general cargo; 4,226 tonnes of bulk cargo: 1,983 tonnes of cement; 1,508 tonnes of clinker; 735 tonnes of rice and 15,000 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Eight ships namely Al-Kuwaitah, Loadstar Genesis, Ocean Trader, Thor Wind, Wan Hai-602, Al-Wajba, MOL Success and Silver Zone sailed out to sea during the reported period. Seven vessels viz Silver Zone, Sima Sahba, Union Carrier, Hyang Ro Bong, C S Discovery, Cora and First-1 are currently at the berth.
Four ships namely Sepanta, Union Carrier, Ryong Gun Bong and Seaway Venture expected to sail on Wednesday, while four vessels viz C S Discovery, Cora, BW Yangtze and Hyundai Long Beach are expected to sail on Thursday Two vessels viz Samin-1 and Saigon Express due to arrive on Wednesday, while five ships namely Malhari, MT Karachi, Kota Akbar, Lt Triesta and Hanjin Gdynia are due to arrive on Thursday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 84,667 tonnes of cargo includes 60,920 tonnes of import cargo and 23,747 tonnes of export cargo, 2,458 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours. The total import cargo of 60,920 tonnes includes 21,973 tonnes of diesel oil; 8,310 tonnes of palm oil; 8,652 tonnes of phosphoric acid and 21,985 tonnes of containerised cargo.
The total export cargo includes 23,747 tonnes includes 11,831 tonnes of rice and 11,916 tonnes of containerised cargo. Four vessels viz CV Nedlloyd Drake, CV Al-Sabahia, CV Al-Rayyan and MT Al-Salam-II sailed out to sea on Wednesday morning, while two more vessels viz MV Captain Wael and MT Samho Emerald are expected to sail on the same day afternoon.
A total number of ten ships namely CV Nedlloyd Drake, CV Al-Sabahia, CV Al-Rayyan, MV Captain Wael, MV Rahmea-1, MV BM Challenge, MV Hae Song, MT Chem Route Brilliant, MT Samho Emerald and MV Al-Salam-II are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, chemicals, palm oil and diesel oil respectively.
Eight vessels viz ACX Refflesia, CMA CGM Jamica, SD Glory, Four Bay, Green Line, Captain Wael, New Activity and Al-Soor-II, carrying containers, canola seeds, furnace oil, cement, crude oil and diesel oil are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of five ships namely CV ACX Refflesia, CV CMA CGM Jamica, MT Four Bay, MV Green Line and MV SD Glory scheduled to load/offload containers, cement, furnace oil and canola seeds are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal(MW-2), and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Wednesday. A container ships namely Seaways Venture due to arrive on Wednesday. A total number of two ships namely MSC Freedom and Dubai Express carrying containers are also due to arrive.
