Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on Thursday summoned the cabinet's Defence Committee for a meeting on Friday in view of the situation obtaining following the release of diplomatic cables by WikiLeaks Aaj News reported.
Headed by the prime minister, the meeting will be attended by Interior Minister Rehman Mailk, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani and other civil and military leaders. According to military sources, the Pakistan Army has expressed concerns over the leaks, and wants the US to explain its position over the information made public by WikiLeaks.
