The Karachi Port handled 128,164 tonnes of cargo including 93,215 tonnes of import cargo, 34,949 tonnes of export cargo, 4,552 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Friday. The total import cargo of 93,215 tonnes comprised of 30,316 tonnes of containerised cargo; 60 tonnes of general cargo; 21,000 tonnes of coal and 41,839 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 34,949 tonnes comprised of 31,844 tonnes of containerised cargo; 640 tonnes of general cargo; 2,465 tonnes of bulk cargo: 1,348 tonnes of cement and 1,117 tonnes of clinker. Seven ships namely Cora, Gulf Tiger, Saigon Express, Beluga Intonation, Hyundai Long Beach, DCS Discovery and Frist-1 sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Four vessels viz Cont, Tanker, Malhari and Abdullalatif-S are currently at the berth. Four ships namely Malhari, Kota Akbar, Samin-1 and APL Japan expected to sail on Friday, while three vessels viz Hanjin Gdynia, Toumah and MT Karachi are expected to sail on Saturday. Four vessels viz Shamrock Venus, APL Chicago, Teera Bhum and OOCL Charleston due to arrive on Friday, while two ships namely Liberty Pride and Ashraf-B are due to arrive on Saturday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 62,259 tonnes of cargo includes 39,097 tonnes of import cargo and 23,162 tonnes of export cargo, 2,040 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours. The total import cargo of 39,097 tonnes includes 13,145 tonnes of furnace oil; 5,990 tonnes of palm oil; 4,600 tonnes of seeds; 77 tonnes of phosphoric acid and 15,285 tonnes of containerised cargo.
The total export cargo includes 23,162 tonnes includes 8,987 tonnes of rice; 1,923 tonnes of cement and 12,252 tonnes of containerised cargo. Two ships namely CV Dubai Express and Chem Rode Rose sailed out to sea on Friday morning, while two container vessels viz CV Seaways Venture and CV MSC Freedom are expected to sail on the same day afternoon.
A total number of nine ships namely CV Seaways Venture, CV Dubai Express, CV MSC Freedom, MV Rahmea-1, MV BM Challenge, MV Hae Song, MV Wales-II, MV SD Glory and MT Chem Rode Rose are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, cement, seeds and palm oil respectively.
Six vessels viz SD Glory, Royal Jasper, Green Line, Sea Hope, New Activity and Al-Soor-II, carrying containers, chemicals, cement, furnace oil, crude oil and diesel oil are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of three ships namely CV SD Glory, MT Royal Jasper and MT New Activity carrying containers, chemicals and furnace oil are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and FOTCO Terminal respectively on Friday. Two ships namely CV MSC Endurance and CV Saudi Tabuk due to arrive on Friday, while three more ships namely CV Angeles, MT Chemstar King and MT Hiba Al-Noor-B are due to arrive on Saturday.
