Chief Executive, Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (PESCO), Mohammad Wali on Tuesday asked the engineers to build customer friendly image of the company. Addressing participants of a workshop organised under the auspices of National Electric Power Regulating Authority (NEPRA) on the Performance Standards for Distribution Companies at Community Centre, FG Colony Peshawar.
Director General, Munir Sheikh, Deputy Director Engineer, Mazhar Ranjha from NEPRA, Chief Engineer Operation, Mohammad Siddique Awan, Chief Engineer T&G, Shahid Mehmood Khan, Chief Engineer Technical, Hanan Khan, PESCO Managers, Deputy Managers and Assistant Managers the workshop.
Chief Executive PESCO, Mohammad Wali in his welcome address said that NEPRA workshop provides useful information and it was a source of inspiration, awareness and guidance for PESCO engineers to improve their technical skills. He said that information provided by NEPRA will boost PESCO engineer's skills which will make them compatible to meet the upcoming challenges in technical field as well as will enable them to understand and update their skills to learn latest techniques.
He stressed PESCO engineers to practice the techniques and suggestions presented during the seminar and advised them to fix targets for achieving tasks, which will guide them to achieve their goals. Director General NEPRA, Munir Sheikh and Deputy Manager Engineer, Mazhar Ranjha presented comprehensive information on performance standards and informed the audience about the aims of the workshop among which the most important are to determine and implement performance standards and plans to expedite the efforts for achieving of tasks and desired goals in the light of annual reports of NEPRA.
They said adopting these measures and information would enable the company to utilise their officer's knowledge, experience and skills to reach the desired goal and to help PESCO to become a profit earning distribution company. This workshop will help PESCO Engineers to deal with the customers with respect, honour.
