Two security personnel were killed and six others suffered injuries in a landmine blast at Baladhaki area of Kohlu district, the injured told here on Wednesday. According to official sources, a vehicle of security forces travelling towards Chamalang from Kohlu hit a landmine planted by unknown persons along a road in Baladhaki area of Barkhan.
As a result, two security personnel Bahar and Fazal Mohammad Marri died on the spot while six others sustained multiple wounds. The injured, later identified as Haider Khan, Rasool Mohammad, Sher Afzal, Musa Khan, Pir Mohammad and Rab Nawaz Marri were taken to Nishtar hospital Multan where the condition of two injured was stated to be serious, an official said. A security contingent reached the site soon after the blast and cordoned off the area. The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), a banned outfit, claimed the responsibility for the attack.
