The Labour Department Punjab has launched a campaign with the collaboration of International Labour Organisation (ILO) to provide health and hygiene information and services at brick kilns in Lahore and Kasur districts.
Centre for improvement of workers conditions & environment said here on Wednesday that health camps are being set up at brick kilns, which will provide hygiene kits, medical advice and health awareness to approximately 1,000 kiln workers and their family members. The Labour department through a development project is establishing 200 non-formal schools for children at brick kilns. Workers are also being provided micro credit and help acquire NIC cards.
