The Lahore High Court (LHC) adjourned the hearing for January 18 and issued notice to Punjab government in a petition challenging ban on use of sugar in government offices imposed by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif. Federal and Punjab governments, ministry of food, sugar mills association and others have been made respondents by the petitioner.
A citizen Ahmad Imran Ghazi filed the petition through his counsel Muhammad Azhar Siddique, who also requested that Prime Minister and Punjab chief minister should be summoned before the court.
