In a bid to ensure foolproof security and maintain law and order in the capital city during Muharram, Islamabad Police organised a flag march in which Islamabad city police, anti terrorist squad, patrolling squads of rescue 15 and contingents of police commandos participated.
Superintendent of Police (SP) City, Haroon Joya led the march, which was organised on the directives of IGP Islamabad Kaleem Imam and SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Kham. DSP Secretariat, Liaqat Hyat Niazi, DSP City, Ahmed Iqbal, SHO Secretariat Police Hakim Khan, SHO Aabpara Police Khalid Awan, SHO Bhara Kahu Rukhsar Mehdi, SHO Kohsar Mehr Munawar Ali, personnel of Islamabad Traffic Police, patrolling officers, Eagle Squad, Falcon of Rescue 15 and lady Commandoes also attended the flag march.
More than 50 vehicles of Islamabad Police and other wings along with a large number of motorcycles took part in the march, which was started from D-Chowk and culminated at Bhara Kahu after passing through Ayub Chowk, Super Market, Jinnah Super, Blue Area, G-6/2 Imambargah, Melody, Aabpara, Dhokri Chowk, G-5, Radio Pakistan Chowk and Bari Imam.
